I'm content with this clinic. The facility is clean and well-kept. The staff have been consistently good to me. I've seen Shannon V. here as my provider for several years, including the clinic she worked at previously. I couldn't be happier with Shannon as my provider, though I will note that I take a lot of ownership in my healthcare. Which, in practice, means that I perform my own research and then run my findings by Shannon. If we proceed with anything I come up with, it's because there's a medically grounded argument for doing so. I go to Chas because I support their mission in providing low cost healthcare to low income families. So I am an ideological customer. Also, the nurse advice hotline is an underrated service whenever you wonder something like "Is this actually worth going to the ER over?" I will say that my only "complaint" is that the Parkside clinic is not open on the weekends. This would help with picking up prescriptions and receiving nurse-delivered tests and whatnot. Now, I don't feel very strongly about this and I recognize that being open on the weekends means that some of the staff there don't get the weekend off. So it's more of a downside that I'm comfor

I had an appointment to see Dr. Shannon Valentine as a new patient and it was terrible. First of all this lady clearly does not like women or has a problem with them because from the start her demeanor was not nice, which okay I get it some doctors like to get straight to the point and hey we all have to work and some days you are just not in the mood. However, this lady was just rude for no freaking reason and unprofessional with the comments and faces she made when she was asking medical questions and honestly, personal questions that have nothing to do with what I was seeing her for. At the end she got up before we could even conclude everything and said she had to go see her next patient. She made me feel so uncomfortable that at the end I decided to walk out and not complete my visit for what I needed. You know people pay to for these doctors services and nothing is being given here for free the least this doctor can do is have some compassion or kindness for your patients or just as a human being.

Shanon Valentine ARNP was horrific. She refused to give referrals to needed to specialist or order screening labs. When being seen for infection she said β€œ since you’re allergic to steroids there is nothing I can do,” but then again refused to refer to a specialist who could help. She also advised the patient to try a steroid inhaler even though it is a high allergy in the chart. Her reasoning was β€œit’s been a while since you have tried one” absolutely absurd for a healthcare provider to recommend this. Extremely dangerous and life threatening to this patient. It appears this provider has no interest in actual patient care. When you pay high prices for insurance, pay a high copay to be seen and take time off from work to go to the apt, to be treated so poorly and reckless is an absolute disappointment and disgust of healthcare. Shanon Valentine ARNP has no right treating patients or being a healthcare provider. This will be escalated as far as it can be to make sure of future patient safety.

I dont know what people are complaining about....Prov and Multi are so much worse. They have a seamless system and follow up has been spot on. They have a whole department dedicated to figuring out your coverage. Try getting that figured out at Prov......community health is a better model than our current "non profits"

The receptionist here are amazing and are always eager to help anyway they can on a short notice. Also having the pharmacy in the lobby is a huge plus saving me an extra trip to pick up medications.
